The Academy of Performing Arts of Spain Choose Scytl to Carry Out the Online Election of the Talía Awards

The artistic and cultural academy has chosen the leading online voting company in the sector, Scytl, to carry out the election of the 26 competitive categories of the Talía Awards.

Barcelona, March 27, 2023. The Academy of Performing Arts of Spain has chosen Scytl to carry out the voting for the Talía Awards, in which the more than 700 members of the artistic and cultural academy have participated. In its first edition, the Academy has opted for the online election of the 26 competitive categories of the awards.

For a week, from March 17 at 9:00 a.m. to March 24 at 11:59 p.m., the jury members have been able to cast their votes easily and securely from anywhere through any device with internet access. Online voting has been carried out under strict confidentiality, with verifiable and auditable measures in place, guaranteeing both the privacy and transparency of the process.

Scytl’s online voting tool has made it easier for the Academy to reduce the time spent managing elections and counting results, while also decreasing costs related to voting, as well as the carbon footprint of the entire process.

After meeting the nominees on February 28, the first edition of the Talía Awards for the Performing Arts will take place on Monday, March 27, World Theater Day, at the Teatro Español with a gala hosted by the actress and presenter Cayetana Guillén-Cuervo, and with the presence of professionals from the world of Theater, Dance, Circus, and Musical Theater, such as Antonio Banderas, Maribel Verdú, José Sacristán, Andrés Lima, Nacho Duato, Tricicle, Mina El Hammani or Aitana Sánchez-Gijón. The gala will be broadcast exclusively by La 2 de TVE.
