The importance of information technology and its effects on society and government was the key theme at this year´s UTmessan, Iceland´s largest IT conference. In response to the growing interest in online voting across Scandinavia, security expert Jordi Puiggali was invited to share insight on the trends of online voting implementations for national elections across the globe.
During the session “Adopting Secure Online Voting: Challenges and Government Experiences” CEO´s, CTO´s and technical managers from across the country were presented with the continued efforts and results in research and development that guarantee that online voting experiences in Switzerland, France, Norway, Canada, Australia and India are private, secure, accessible and verifiable.
