Scytls carries out first Internet voting election in the Philippines

On July 20, the approximately 26,000 Filipino overseas absentee voters registered in Singapore started voting through Scytl’s secure Internet voting platform in the first Internet voting project in the Philippines. The project is run by the Commission on Elections of the Philippines (COMELEC) with the objective of testing Internet voting as a voting channel in public elections. The voting period will remain open until August 8.
