Scytl led to a further reduction of a 73% in the cost of results consolidation for the General Elections

May 25, 2016

Scytl reported today that the company has received official notification from the Ministry of Interior of Indra’s provisional awarding of the contract of results consolidation for the general elections on June 26th . This notice states that Indra bid a price of 3.9 million euros (excluding VAT) compared to the price offered by the temporary consortium formed by Scytl-Tecnocom of 6.9 million euros (excluding VAT).
The results consolidation of the general elections in Spain has been undertaken by Indra exclusive, uninterrupted since 1978. Scytl, in partnership with Tecnocom, broke this de facto monopoly in the last general elections on December 20th 2015. Despite the late start of the project caused by the various appeals and complaints brought by Indra, the results consolidation last December 20th was a success which showed that there was a viable alternative to Indra and at a reasonable price.
