Sep 12, 2011

Scytl, in partnership with Telefonica, has been awarded a contract by the Spanish Ministry of Education to provide an e-participation portal and an Internet voting platform to the Student Council of Spanish Universities. This platform will allow 1.5 million University students to express their proposals and opinions to the Ministry of Education. The e-participation portal will facilitate the interaction between the students and will allow them to work remotely whereas the voting platform will allow the Ministry to carry out student elections and surveys electronically. More than 1.5 million students in Spain will have access to the portal and will be able to vote remotely. The portal and the voting platform will be effective from January 2012 and there are plans of deploying them to other entities within the Ministry in the near future.
