Scytl acquires Akira, Canadian leader of workforce management solutions

The acquisition of Akira Systems – a leading provider of workforce management systems – allows Scytl to better address the challenges faced by electoral bodies around the world relative to the complex task of identifying, hiring, training, managing and compensating thousands to hundreds of thousands of election staff.
As a result, Scytl not only strengthens its position in Canada with a software lab and customer support center, but also complements its end-to-end election management platform with a leading workforce management solution especially designed to address all the human resource aspects of election processes. In addition to providing the perfect complement to Scytl´s poll worker management solutions, Akira will become Scytl’s excellence center for HR solutions, providing support to customers and partners in Canada and worldwide.
This represents Scytl´s sixth acquisition since 2012. Previous acquisitions include OAK Soluçoes, Maxim Consulting and SOE Software.
