London, June 6, 2017 – In preparation for the Parliamentary Election on June 8, 10,000 poll workers will have benefited from online training and been equipped to support the various election processes and election queries. With almost 75,000 election staff leveraging Scytl online training technology and Halarose Limited delivery, the partnership between the two companies is setting new benchmarks for more intuitive and efficient online training.
As the political landscape and voter requirements evolve, so too does the need to ensure all aspects of the electoral process are designed in a way that makes implementing changes quick, efficient and effective. Such is the case with the snap Parliamentary Election called on 19 April 2017, due to take place on 8 June 2017, and ensuring election staff can support the election. To successfully complete their specific duties on Election Day, each of the 10,000 election staff must be trained. Traditionally this training takes the form of trainers travelling to various sites and the production of costly training materials. Scytl online training technology and content is designed and implemented in a way that allows a timely and less costly update to training on short notice as well as making the training of staff far less disruptive.
Scytl Election Training delivers an engaging and interactive learning platform allowing workers to access comprehensive and engaging training content online. Scytl’s web-based technology enables election offices to train staff more effectively and cut costs, an efficiency that is already being realized by the poll workers being trained for the upcoming Parliamentary Election.
As electoral bodies across the globe realize the benefits of training poll workers online, Scytl continues to deliver leading edge web-based training and has trained almost 75,000 polling station staff in the UK alone since 2012 and over 600,000 election staff worldwide. A few recent examples of Scytl Election Training include:
- Presidential Elections, November 2016 – USA: election staff trained across 12 States
- EU Referendum, June 2016 – United Kingdom: over 11,000 polling site staff trained online
- General Elections, December 2015 – Spain: over 24,000 staff trained across 52 regions
- Local Government Elections, March 2015 – Queensland, Australia: uniform and accessible election staff straining across the State of Queensland.
