With a continued annual growth of over 70% for the past 10 consecutive years and election modernization projects in 35 countries, Scytl is ensuring that not only current day requirements are being met, but is looking ahead of the curve, towards requirements beyond 2014.

Carlos Aznar, VP Software Engineering
Mr. Carlos Aznar joins Scytl as VP of Software Engineering with over 20 years’ experience in the ICT industry working in multinational and large customers’ IT departments. He brings new strategies and insight for systems planning, architecture and software development, project management methodologies, software quality assurance and IT infrastructure management. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Aznar held the position of IT Consultancy Director at Indra, responsible for the Multi-customer Software Development Unit, leading large scale bespoke software development projects. His previous experience also includes IT Manager at Grupo Auna (Spanish Telecommunications integrated provider) and Software Engineer at Hewlett Packard.
Jim Walsh, VP Operations
Mr. Jim Walsh´s global leadership experience and ease of working in multi-cultural environments brings a strong and service-centric approach to Scytl election modernization project delivery. Prior to joining Scytl, Mr. Walsh was a Director of Technology Outsourcing at everis, where he focused both on business growth and delivery maturity. In addition, he participated in a joint initiative with other Technology Services providers to build awareness of the near-shore sourcing alternative, and authored a paper on the topic that was short-listed for an award at the 2012 UK National Outsourcing Association conference. Previously, he worked as an Application Services Executive at Hewlett-Packard where he led a large global services team providing technology solutions for a multi-national firm. A central challenge of this role was the development of a single, globally distributed team, and the organization and processes necessary to ensure that this team acted as one across the globe.
Joan Villalta, VP Product Management
Mr. Joan Villalta brings both Scytl and its clients over 20 years of Product Management and Security knowhow. Mr. Villalta´s past experience includes executive positions at ABSIS; NTRglobal where he developed winning strategies for mixing technology, UX and product management; and Panda Security where he spearheaded the company’s Corporate Security award winning product management strategies. In additional, he has collaborated in key projects for companies such as Koalink, Hotelerum and Zyncro in the development and implementation of industry specific product management and operations initiatives.
Brian O’Connor, General Manager USA and Canada
Mr. Brian O’Connor is responsible for the strategic growth and customer satisfaction initiatives for both Scytl and SOE in the region. He brings more than 20 years of executive management experience to the organization having held key leadership positions at Sequoia Voting Systems, Daon, Datacard, and Danaher and as a business owner and consultant focused on Identity and Election automation and modernization. His instrumental role in statewide technology implementations across 26 States and multiple municipal governments ensures extensive State & Local Government background that will be a benefit to the organizations current and future customers. Additionally, Mr. O’Connor has actively participated in several significant Mergers & Acquisitions within the space.
