Onno van Dommelen, Scytl’s VP of strategic accounts and partnerships, will be presenting as part of the e-democracy eVoice session at this year’s eID Forum, held in Tallinn, Estonia on September 17 and 18. The forum is centered on electronic identities and identification and acts as an important bridge between industry leaders and governments, promoting discussion and open dialogue on the integration and advancement of eID solutions and technology. Electronic identities can be an important feature in ensuring the security of online elections, and Scytl’s long history at the forefront of eDemocracy solutions has proven that strong cryptographic measures and trust from governments and the general public are both significant factors in driving the adoption and use of eIDs in the future.
Onno’s presentation, entitled “Envisioning the Future of Democracy,” will focus on online voting as the next step in the digital transformation of election processes. He will highlight the benefits and challenges of implementing online voting, and the current technology available to ensure security, auditability, and transparency in online elections.
