The adoption of secure online voting channel on their elections results in a continuing upwards trend in participation with an 8,2 % increase from 2013.

In 2013, the National Distance Education University (UNED) began working with Scytl on the deployment for a secure online voting platform to support over 700 online electoral processes including the election of the new Chancellor of the University. Since it´s deployment in 2013, the online voting platform is being used by it´s over 250,000 students and 10,000 professors for online University elections. - June 2013 – Participation increase of 50% in the first online election vs. the previous 2009 paper based election.
