AxE Javascript

Auditable E-voting using Javascrip

The Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness (MINECO), within the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016, granted assistance to the project “AxE Javascript: Auditable E-voting using Javascript” led by SCYTL with file number RTC-2016-4928-7. This project has been co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness within the RETOS-COLLABORATION Subprogram, Call 2016. The main objective for this call is to promote technological development, innovation and quality research.

The AxE Javascript project aims to create an electronic voting solution that has the maximum guarantees in terms of correcting the code and security implemented, in order to facilitate the evaluation by independent certification bodies and organizations, resulting in a clear improvement of the transparency of the systems used by the electoral bodies. With this, the main objectives of the project are:
Identify and define security properties of electronic voting systems, with two main purposes: minimize possible design and implementation errors, and facilitate the evaluation of such systems by certification bodies.
Develop, implement and validate new methods that provide indisputable evidence on the security of the design of an electronic voting protocol and the correction of an implementation of a voting client in JavaScript.
