Georgia Secretary of State selects Clarity ENR from SOE Software

Scytl’s election management subsidiary, SOE Software, has been awarded a contract through a nationwide competitive solicitation by the Georgia Secretary of State’s office to use Clarity Election Night Reporting (ENR) to present State and Federal election data from all 159 counties. Georgia joins 13 other statewide implementations that leverage the industry leading election results presentation solution. Clarity ENR is the nation’s leading software presentation tool for elections with its graphical presentation of maps, bar charts, totals and downloadable reports. Georgia residents along with media and political campaigns will now be able to find detailed, precinct-specific election result data on election night from the Georgia Secretary of State’s website. With this innovation, the State of Georgia and all its 159 counties can expect to reduce phone calls and data requests from the public while increasing openness and transparency to the public.

Scytl and SOE jointly participate at the NASS Winter Conference in Washington DC


Scytl will take part in the National Association of Secretaries of State (NASS) Winter Conference which will be held in Washington DC on January 28 - 31. Scytl will exhibit its MOVE compliant solutions for overseas voting and will share its exhibition space with the recently acquired SOE Software, the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States. The conference will be attended by Secretaries of State and Lieutenant Governors from 39 US states and territories. Founded in 1904, NASS is the United States' oldest, non-partisan professional organization for state officials.

Scytl selected to provide e-voting in elections in Halifax (Canada)


The Halifax Regional Council has approved the award to Scytl Canada Inc. for this project to provide Internet and telephone voting for the 2012 municipal elections. This was the result of a competitive process in which 4 offers were evaluated by the Municipal Clerks Office, the Finance and Information Technology Office and an external evaluator.  The Internet and telephone voting solution provided by Scytl will be available for advanced voting during the two weeks prior to the election day for approximately 330,000 voters registered in the capital of the Province of Nova Scotia.

Scytl has acquired 100% of SOE Software (www.soesoftware.com), the leading software provider of election management solutions in the United States. The integration of these two software companies creates the industry leader in the election software market with a full range of solutions covering from Internet voting to election night reporting and online pollworker training, and a strong market presence worldwide. SOE Software, based in Tampa, has developed Clarity, a suite of 8 software modules that allow election authorities to be more efficient and transparent in their management of elections and in their communications with citizens and media. Over 900 jurisdictions in 26 states across the United States, including 14 state-wide customers, currently use SOE Software solutions in their electoral processes. Andy Tye joins Scytl as General Manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA)

Andy Tye has recently joined Scytl as General Manager of its EMEA operations, bringing over fifteen years of international elections experience to the organization. Prior to joining Scytl, he was responsible for sales of election, census and examination solutions at DRS Data Services Ltd., a global leader in data capture systems and software. With direct hands-on experience in international election processes, delivery and operations Mr. Tye has a good knowledge of the various technical considerations in implementing new technology in the elections market place. He has a technical background and has worked with many in-country partners to secure and deliver IT solutions to both government and private organizations. In recent years Mr. Tye has also had the privilege of being a trusted advisor to the United Nations presenting at many of their international workshops and writing a technical methodology report to assist countries with their IT planning needs.
