Voters can download their ballot, vote and return it by mail, fax or email and at any point check the status of their ballot and exchange information with the election officials.
Officials can upload voter related data, voting instructions and ballot information, send ballots and instructions to the voters, track the materials sent to /received by the voters and interact with them online.

· Voter Privacy:
An encoded barcode is generated after the voters filled-in their ballot onscreen. Election officials read the barcode, securely store the data into the system and tabulate results. They won’t read the selections made by the voters nor modify the ballot.
· Transparency:
The platform’s actions are recorded in special files that are protected by cryptographic means in order to detect any manipulation attempts and facilitate the validation of the actions.
· Trust:
Election officials and voters can track the status of voting materials. Election officials can communicate directly with the voters through a secure messaging service. No clear-text ballot selections will ever be associated with the voter’s personal information.
Success Case: Department of Defense - USA
Scytl was selected by the Federal Voting Assistance Program of the U.S. Department of Defense to provide a secure online ballot delivery under a program to support overseas military and civilian voters in the 2010 election cycle. Scytl was awarded 9 of the 20 States that agreed to participate in the program, making it the provider with the highest number of participating states.
