Success Case: National Office of Electoral Processes / Organization of American States – Peru

The Organization of American States (OAS) has awarded a contract to Scytl to audit the electronic voting software developed by the National Office of Electoral Processes in Peru. The audit is aimed at determining the certification standards for software development, software testing, security and data encryption, results validation and computer process compliance. The audit also evaluates the risks associated to the use of electronic voting and recommends activities and control measures to prevent those risks and ensure the compliance of the electronic voting system with the established certification requirements. In the case the electronic voting system developed by the Peruvian Office of Electoral Processes would not match the established standards; Scytl will propose actions that will allow the Peruvian Office of Electoral Processes to achieve them.
